About us
We have lived on Bermondsey Street for eight years. During that time we have also lived in New York, Hong Kong, and travelled the world for a year in between. Constantly curious, we are adventurers, and lovers of wilderness. We have always had a passion for food, but our main inspiration to open our own supper club was through eating in some truly amazing homes and restaurants around the world, most of which we documented on our blog Travel Tonics.
We aim to provide an intimate, communal dining experience, hosting only eight people for dinner in our cosy flat. If you can't buy it within a short walk of our apartment, we don't serve it. We avoid buying any of our ingredients from the local supermarket, and do our best not to serve anything that's been packaged in plastic. We're lucky to have some of the best markets in London on our doorstep and some amazing suppliers in the area. We also only serve homemade products including bread, butter, cheese, yoghurt, pasta, bacon, and ice cream (just to name a few!). And to avoid serving bottled water we filter our tap water, then rest it with binchotan to purify (therefore no sparkling water). As we cook everything from scratch in our own kitchen, sadly we are unable to accommodate any special dietary requirements or allergies other than vegetarians.
